^{omg. thank you for saying that??? like from the bottom of my heart… thank you. honestly, i feel so connected to olivia. granted, i’d only just started watching the show about a year ago ( i’d watched off and on over the years but never anything more than that ), and immediately i ‘FELL’ for olivia. you see, i’m 20 ( almsost 21 ), and i’ve wanted to work in law enforcement since i was roughly 12. it started as CSI admittedly, then quickly turned to the FBI ( i have high hopes for the latter ), and my high school even had a criminal justice program which i did for four years. i learned self defense, gun safety, all about drugs, we even did mock court cases, and even had a shooting simulator. in short, i’ve wanted to help people for a LONG time, and still do, and watching SVU like i have been the last year… i realized that this is truly what i want to do with my life. even if the FBI doesn’t work out, i want to be a police officer and i want to work my way to the sex crimes unit. i want to be olivia benson, or at least LIKE her. she’s my role model, as is mariska hargitay… that’s prolly more than y’all wanted to know, but whatevs. i just really love this character, and i thought i’d explain where the love comes from. ♥}

^{mmm that’s a hard one. however, i think an important one to any and all fandoms is the mindset that some people play characters correctly while others don’t. this is a total opinion, therefore no one’s is above anyone else’s. yes some people write better than others, but that IN NO WAY means that one person writes a character better than another. please rid yourself of this idea that you’re better than others, because no one is better than anyone else. we all bring different things to a character, different and unique aspects, but AGAIN, that doesn’t make any of us better than any other person. so PLEASE stop telling people they don’t know what they’re writing or who they’re writing. odds are, they do if they’re writing said character, even if it’s in a different way than you do it. the tumblr rp community needs POSITIVITY, and so many people forget that or choose to ignore it. this is one of the most unhealthy things to do, and even pushes people away from joining a fandom. don’t be the reason people run away, delete, or get scared. it’s not fair to anyone.}
